Top 5 Film & Television Apps on Android in Hungary, Q2 2022

In the second quarter of 2022, the top 5 Film & Television applications on the Android platform in Hungary demonstrated diverse performance trends. Data from Sensor Tower reveals insights into their weekly downloads, revenue, and active user metrics.

HBO Max: Stream TV & Movies experienced a significant increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $15K in the week of May 9. Weekly downloads saw a decline from 21K in late March to around 6.8K by the end of June. Active users fluctuated slightly, starting at 22K in late March and ending the quarter at about 19K.

Netflix maintained a steady weekly download rate, hovering around 4K to 6K downloads throughout the quarter. Active users exhibited a slight increase, reaching a high of 197K in mid-April before stabilizing around 191K by the end of June.

Disney+ showed remarkable growth in its weekly revenue, starting at $0 in early June and reaching approximately $53K by mid-June. Weekly downloads were consistent at around 17K to 18K, while active users surged from 13K in mid-June to over 41K by the end of the month.

Telekom TV GO displayed relatively stable performance in weekly downloads, varying between 1.2K and 2.4K. Active users remained consistent, starting at 8.8K in late March and concluding the quarter at around 8K.

RTL+ Magyarország had a steady decline in weekly downloads, from 2.1K in late March to about 761 by the end of June. Active users also saw a downward trend, from 8.2K to 5.4K over the same period.
